A District Conference meeting will be held on February 9th to elect a new member of the Massachusetts Democratic State Committee. It is a seat designated for a male democrat residing in the 2nd Middlesex and Norfolk senatorial district, of which Ashland is a part.

To elect this new member of the State Committee, delegates will be elected from the towns in the 2MN district to vote at the District Conference.  Ashland has 4 male, 4 female and 1 any gender delegate slots open to vote for the new State Committee member at the District Conference. 

Any Democrat registered in Ashland may be elected as a delegate, but only town committee members or associate members are eligible to vote for delegates. We encourage all who are eligible to participate in the caucus. 

There are 3 candidates seeking the 2MN DSC ballot seat, including State Representative Jack Lewis of Framingham, Frank D'Urso of Hopkinton and Robert Floyd of Holliston.

The Ashland Caucus will be at WACA on Wed. Jan 30th, 7:00 pm with a brief business meeting to follow. Elected delegates must attend the District Conference on Feb 9th at 1pm. The District Conference will also be taking place in Ashland.

Following the caucus, we’ll hold our regular monthly meeting. Guests and prospective members are always welcome. At each meeting, we collect donations for the Ashland Food Pantry.
