Fellow Ashland Democrats -

Your generous response to requests for financial support enabled your committee to make important financial contributions during this past year’s electoral cycle. Our assistance helped ensure success in Massachusetts and, importantly, success in key congressional and senatorial races and voter empowerment efforts in other states.

We have a lot to celebrate and can be justifiably proud. We also exhausted our funds. The challenges to our values have not gone away. We need to rebuild our ability to meet the challenges and honor our commitment to a progressive future.

1. As a practical matter, we need to cover our operational expenses.
2. The committee should have the wherewithal to financially support candidacies and causes that reflect our values and hopes.
3. Importantly, the committee should also have the resources to honor those who have given
so much of themselves to this committee and our community.

On No. 3 - Bill Browne, a long-serving member and treasurer of this committee, died in hospice
care on November 25 th last year. Bill was known to many not simply for his work with this
committee and other civic endeavors in Ashland, but also for his genuine and uncompromising
humanity. We wish to honor Bill with an appropriate memorial donation.

For the reasons noted above, kindly consider a contribution in support of the committee.
